The Story
So Far.
North Carolina family-adventure photography, plus the occasional escaramuza team.
I've spent ten years photographing my own kids and family — saltwater, dirt, the backs of trucks on roads that don't have names on a map. That's most of what's on this site, and it's not an accident. It's the project.
Before that: illustration and design, band merch, surf and skate, then years shooting CrossFit gyms and brands across Southern California. Photo and video started as a break from design — it didn't become the real thing until my kids did.
Shooting your own kids teaches you to disappear. No directing, no composing — just being there, camera along for the ride. Same documentary, under-the-radar approach on every project since, family or client: escaramuza teams at a full gallop, a knife-maker named Neil at his forge, whatever the world hands me.
Ten-plus years in LA, now North Carolina — waterfalls, ridgelines, coastline, more backyard than we'll ever run out of.
